On rumours that Apple is about to announce an iTunes enabled mobile phone and maybe a new line of iPods as soon as tomorrow, the company's stock soared during today's trading session. Apple's stock (AAPL) closed at all time high at $48.80, up 5.97% or $2.76 per share. In after hours trading, the company's shares have even traded near $49.
