UPDATE: A Mirror for the screenshots is provided by Kevin's server here, In this report, I will detail some Mac OS X Tiger WWDC build (8A162) new features that are illustrated with many screenshots. I will try to focus on features other sites did not report on yet. The screenshots will be hosted at a home server and you may encounter slow downloads.

As we all know, today was Apple's World Wide Developers Conference which has been gaining more and more importance during the last two years as Apple has made significant announcements during this event. Here is a full report on the keynote followed by the feelings of some people that attended the event and my own feelings on today's announcements.

UPDATE: One source claims QuickTime 7 could also bring support for multi-channel encoding and playback. The source also told it implies the use of CoreAudio on the Mac version of QuickTime. Other new sources confirmed that it is unlikely Apple includes third-party and open codecs directly installed with QuickTime. I've been seeking and verifying information about the next major release of QuickTime for months now. I've finally gathered and confirmed some very interesting information from several sources who all claim that QuickTime 7.0 will offer huge improvements over the current version.

UPDATE: Apple has signed an agreement with the French education ministry. This agreement will include Apple among the big PC-makers who contribute to the high-tech development of the French education. More information is provided in French here. According to some reliable Apple sales sources, Apple's xServe and PowerMac have made a great effect in French, United Kingdom and Swiss businesses, education and research laboratories.
