Here's a brief catch-up with some iTunes-related news and rumours we missed this week:

iTunes Europe pricing

Apple has found a compromise in its negotiations with the European commission. The company accepted to harmonize its prices in Europe, according to a press release posted on its web site.

The UK store which sells songs for a few cents more than other European countries should see a price drop while songs sold in other European countries will remain at 0.99€. Another possibility is that Apple creates a unique pan-European store.

Several Studios convinced by Apple for Movie rentals?

A Bloomberg report claims that Apple has reached a deal with several studios so as to distribute their content in an iTunes movie rentals service.

The studios Apple may have signed with are Lions Gate, Disney, Warner Bross and Fox. Movies will be available on iTunes either for rent at $3.99 (24 hours) or for purchase for a yet unknown price.

Fox DVDs to include iTunes compatible version of the movie?

In addition to the Movie rentals deal which might have been signed between Apple and Fox, it appears that the studio has agreed to provide iTunes-encoded and DRMd versions of its movies in its DVDs.

A MacRumors reader has noticed some recent DVDs already have the feature.
