Many iTunes related news and rumours this week, here is a brief catch-up. Cheaper TV shows on iTunes? According to a Variety report, Apple is negotiating with studios so as to obtain major price cuts on the pricing of television shows episodes. The shows are currently priced $2.99 each while Apple would like to sell them only $0.99, or a 50% decrease. The price drop would bring the TV show episodes to the same price as songs, making them much more competitive with physical DVDs. HD Radio iTunes tagging Apple announced a new feature introduced on the iTunes Store. It consists of tagging a song that you listen on HD Radio for later purchase on iTunes. "iTunes tagging takes music discovery on the radio to the next level," said Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of iPod Product Marketing. "When a song plays on your HD Radio that you like, a simple push of a button will tag it and later give you the chance to preview, purchase, and enjoy it with iTunes and your iPod." Hints at iTunes movie rentals A Flickr user posted some interesting screenshots of iTunes' error reporting tool. The screenshots hint at references to a Movie rental service. One of the choices provided on the error reporting form contains items which refer to a yet to be announced Movie Rental service: - M2CancellationReason.DidNotReceive-RentalMovie Apple has long been rumoured to be working on a Movie rental service.
