Several reports on the Internet point towards the release of new iPods and iPod nanos during September. The not yet very known 9to5mac claims to have obtained information on the next iPod nano's colors and shape. It is specifically said that the new nano will be made available in black, silver, cranberry, light blue and light green colors and that the screen will take half of the nano's front side. Engadget recently posted a massively dugg, 2/3 speculative and 1/3 factual report advising against buying an iPod right now. The site points out weak availability of the product at retailers and good timing for a product refresh in this segment. Meanwhile, in Europe, iGeneration.fr, notices that Fnac stores have significantly dropped the iPod and iPod nano's pricing from 10 to 20€, depending on the model. The French site also relates Samsung's recent announcement of a 160GB 1.8 inch hard drive which could fit into Apple's next iPod. It is usual for Apple to refresh its consumer-oriented products before the holiday season kicks-off, so MacScoop is also advising you against any iPod purchase before Apple updates its product line-up. If you just accidentally broke your iPod yesterday, maybe you should check out for a refurbed or used one. Bookmark/Search this post with:
