Apple has posted updates for both iTunes and QuickTime, bringing them, respectively to version 7.3.1 and version 7.2.

Following is the descriptions provided by Apple for these updates.

iTunes 7.3.1 - 33.8MB (Mac), 47.6MB (Windows):

iTunes 7.3.1 addresses a minor problem with iTunes 7.3 accessing the iTunes Library.

QuickTime 7.2 - 51.4MB (Mac), 19.3MB (Windows):

QuickTime 7.2 addresses critical security issues and delivers:
- Support for full screen viewing in QuickTime Player
- Updates to the H.264 codec
- Numerous bug fixes

The updates are available either through Apple's web site or through the Software Update utility.

Full screen playback on QuickTime was unavailable to unregistered users until today's update, though iTunes offered this feature for free, even for QuickTime movies embeded into web pages.

Rumours of the unlocking of this feature by Apple were surrounding the Internet for a while, with the most recent report by MacScoop / MacosXrumors relating that possibility dated on June the 18th, 2004.
