Submitted by STEPHEN on Thu, 2007-05-24 21:28.MY "MAIL PROGRAM" IS STILL DEAD AS BEFORE THIS UPDATE. "APPLE INC." REALLY DOES NEEDS TO DO AN "MAIL UPDATE" IN "SOFTWARE UPDATE", DON'T YOU THINK?

I don't think your Mail.app
Submitted by JayM on Fri, 2007-05-25 14:07.I don't think your Mail.app problem is really related to a bug on Mail.app, it must be a corrupted preferences file or (I hope not for you) a corrupted mails database.
Last time I encountered issues with Mail.app, I moved over the Mail app's preference file from my /Library/Preferences folder. After that, I created my accounts from the start on Mail.app and I was lucky enough to get back all my emails without any hang.
I suggest you to backup your /User/Library/Mail folder and the preference file before trying this though.
If you don't feel confortable with these tricks please don't even try this. I wouldn't want to be held responsible of data loss on your system.
BOY, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT
Submitted by STEPHEN on Fri, 2007-05-25 19:53.BOY, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT ONE BUD. IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT? OTHERWISE, THAT'S TOO RISKY FOR ME TO DO. NOTE: IT WAS WORKING FINE AS ALWAYS BOTH ON MONDAY/TUESDAY, THEN ON WEDNESDAY IT STARTED GIVING ME PROBLEMS ON WEDNESDAY ON THROUGH TODAY (FRIDAY). I'D THOUGHT THAT YESTERDAY'S "SECURITY UPDATE" WOULD HELP, BUT IT DIDN'T. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ABOUT ANYMORE IDEAS AND IF ALL ELSE FAILS, THEN I'LL TRY OUT YOUR IDEA FOR A "LAST RESORT". THANKS BUDDY!!!
