iTunes content providers receive DRM-free offer notice

Apple has informed iTunes content providers (Music & Video) that they can offer their content without DRM's through the new model intoduced last month with EMI. This move will help the compay to expand its new offer to indes content providers while negotiations with other majors are still ongoing.

No iTunes subscription service

In a recent interview, Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs told the press that he didn't think consumers want a subscription model, citing the non success of current offers. He re-itrerated a previous statement that people want to own their music but added "never say never!"

Steve Jobs could face further SEC investigation

Meanwhile, alerted by Apple's former CFO Fred Anderson's allegations, the SEC does not exclude further investigation on Steve Jobs, a SiliconValley.com report says.

In settlement with the SEC, Anderson recently told the press that Steve Jobs was aware of the stock-option aprovals in the company and did nothing to stop them.
