Apple has announced that it will delay the shipping of the Apple TV - its recently announced living-room appliance - to mid-March.

"Wrapping up Apple TV is taking a few weeks longer than we projected, and we now expect to begin shipments mid-March," spokeswoman Lynn Fox told Reuters.

The company had denied recent reports claiming a delay on the Apple TV but is now confirming it.

Those who have ordered the Apple TV are now seeing shipping dates of mid to end March.

There is no known reasons for this delay as Apple didn't provide any details on that.
