French car-maker Renault has previewed a prototype version (concept-car) of its mid-low budget ranged Twingo car with iPod connectivity at this year's "Salon de Paris" show which takes place - as you might have guessed - in Paris every two years.

The exposing of such a prototype hints at the possibility that the car maker is interested in including iPod connectivity to its next generation Twingo model which is expected to be released next year.

The exposed concept-car also features other digital connectivity features such as an USB port and a connector for Nokia phones.

Renault's Twingo has seen significant success in Europe since the introduction of this concept about decade ago and could bring iPod connectivity to the masses in the European market.

Apple recently announced that it targets 70% of the cars sold in the USA in 2007 to have iPod connectivity.

UPDATE: Twingo-Concept dedicated web site here.
