With all the companies rushing into the virtualisation battle, some anonymous reports about VMWare and their relations with Apple are starting to arrive in our mailbox.

In the recent reports we received, we have learned that Apple and VMWare have been in talks and that Apple is definitely interested in allowing Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server to run in virtualisation software such as VMWare for Mac.

However, sources told MacosXRumors that Apple is not likely to allow the same feature to be present on the PC version of VMWare as the company wouldn't like to see Mac OS X running on non-Apple hardware.

We also learned some details about VMWare in general. Though the exact feature set, commercial name and pricing are yet to be defined, we've heard that VMWare execs showed interest in bringing VMWare ESX Server to Mac OS X.

Additionally, sources claim that VMWare developers want their software to be very Mac-friendly in terms of user interface. The first release of VMWare for Mac should be expected around MacWorld SF 2007, the sources added.

Earlier this week, VMWare, which is a subsidiary of EMC, officially announced its plans to release a Mac version of VMWare and suggested Mac users to to register for the VMWare for Mac beta program.

I know that this is an old comment, but you should change "VMWare" to VMware".
