Next Saturday, it's Apple's 30th anniversary and everyone's asking himself what the company may do so as to celebrate its 30 years of existence. Boakes.org may have the answer to this question:

"Today I learned from a trusted source that Apple is poised to make history next Saturday when it unveils the worlds first advertisement that can be seen from space."

The site provides a picture as well as Google Earth/Maps location bookmarks that will bring your Google Earth to somewhere in Australia, on a place where Apple is said to have constructed a giant iPod advertising of as much as 893240 square metres, actually the first advertising that can be seen from space.

Notice that the pictures are six months old and that the construction was not finnished at that time. By the end of the week, we'll probably see it finnished if this report confirmed by Apple. Meanwhile, we suggest you to take a look on it using Google Maps or Google Earth (requires Google Earth application).

UDPATE: Digital Inspitation claims this is "just a rumour" and that there were pictures of this space that looks like an iPod on TerraServer's database since 1999 (when iPods did not even exist).
