An article on CNET's Apple Blog features a brief interview of Deborah Conrad which is VP and direcor of the Team Apple at Intel. The Team Apple was formed some time after Apple announced that it is switching to the Intel architecture, so as to address specific needs of the company in term of R&D. Although Deborah Conrad did not mention any specific product, she told CNET that there were few exciting things other than the iPod on the pipeline that would include Intel chips: 'As for an Intel chip inside an iPod, "I don't think you're going to see anything soon," Conrad said. But when it comes to future gadgets other than the iPod, "that's where we get very, very excited.' Apple has been rumoured to be working on other handheld kind products than the iPod such as a Tablet PC and a mobile phone. It is already using Intel chips for its Macs and recently it announced Intel-based Mac minis which are quietly evolving as Mac media centers. Bookmark/Search this post with:
