WinXPonMac.com, which had organized a contest encouraging users to develop a solution capable of booting Windows XP on a MacTel while keeping Mac OS X, has announced yesterday that the contest had a winner. The winner has provided a solution that was in phase with the requirements of the contest and by the way will reveive the $13,854 prize. A video showing the patch running a MacTel has been spreading around the web since earlier this week. The video which lasts a few minutes clearly shows the installation of and boot process of Windows XP on an iMac Intel as well as the system hardware profile provided by Windows XP after the first boot. The site now provides the solution as a patch with instrutions. However the server has seen huge traffic and is now hard to reach. We have mirrored the package on our MacScoop.com servers for fast access. Don't hesitate to send us your feedback Bookmark/Search this post with:
