Apple has announced through its dedicated site Apple Developer Connection (ADC) that the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place in San Fransisco between the 7th and 11th of August 2006. This event which is dedicated to Apple developers is usually scheduled during the month of June. Last year, the company announced its plans to switch to the Intel architecture, a move that surprised a lot of Mac fans. This year, we can expect Apple to provide details about the next major release of Mac OS X 10.5 - Leopard. A reason why the conference will be held about two months later than usually could be that Apple wants to be ready to show off a very advanced version of Leopard which is expected to be released late this year or in early 2007.
