Here is a summary of speculations on the special event Apple has scheduled for February the 28th.

On the accesories side few things have filtered. ThinkSecret believes that Apple will release what it calls a "Hi-Fi" boombox while AppleInsider speculates on the release of a new U2 edition of the iPod along with a few other iPod accessories.

On the Mac side, the most expected Mac is the Intel-based Mac mini, as AppleInsider claims it is already in production but no details have been revealed on its technical specifications. The iBook has also been expected to be coming during this event but AppleInsider's latest report claims it will be released later in the quarter.

The announcement of a video-on-demand service is also among expectations. This rumour first surfaced soon after Apple launched its iTunes Music Store and re-surfaced recently with speculations on MacWorld 2006 opening keynote.

We're not sure to be able to cover the event live. However, be sure that we'll be updating the site as soon as information comes to us. If you think you can help us with the coverage of the event, don't hesitate to contact us.
