According to IfoAppleStore, Apple plans to open a retail store in Rome, Italy in 2006. The store could be opened at Via Condotti or Via del Corso, according to the site.

At the moment, Apple has opened European stores only in the United Kingtom. Its latest store opened in at the Trafforf Centre in Manchester yesterday.
