In contradiction with what we said late last week, when we were reporting that Mac OS X 10.4.3 update was coming soon, reports are claiming that Apple has not fixed yet the PowerMac G5 Single 1.8Ghz issue on this update.

A source that claims to have tested this new version on one of these PowerMacs reports that the issues do not appear to be fixed on this release. The source even reports that new and very annoying issues appeared on this system after the update was installed.

Apple had aknowledged the issues in late September and users hoped to have them fixed with the next update of Mac OS X. Maybe we should expect a firmware update for the PowerMac instead.

Meanwhile, sources are confirming that the update to Mac OS X Tiger is indeed coming very soon: "it's a matter of days", say recent reports. So we may expect the update to Mac OS X 10.4.3 to arrive at any time from now.
