As reported on News.com, Motorola's CEO, Ed Zanders, told to the press about Apple "we know that they are going to build a smart phone--it's only a matter of time", while he was explaining that Apple was not only an partner but also a competitor for his company. Last week, during a conference, when he was asked about the iPod nano, he had responded "screw the nano" to the audience, but he later claimed it was a joke. Earlier this week, he was asked to explain further on the subject so he claimed his company is in competition with Apple and mentioned the possibility that Apple makes its own smart-phone.
