According to AppleInsider, Apple plans to release a firmware update for the iPod this month, bringing several new features. Ferstly, new transition effects will appear with this new firmware, including mosaic, cube and fade. IPod gamers will also be happy with this new firmware, as it should also include a new game: Tetris. The site even provides some pictures of the new firmware update running on an iPod.
