On the new product web page of the iPod photo, we noticed that Apple silently mentions, since today, a new feature and a new accessory are coming in march for the iPod photo. The first is the capability to chose your slideshow's transitions using the iPod's On-The-Go feature and the second is a new (optional?) accessory which is a connector that will allow you to transfer your pictures directly from your digital camera. Here is what the product page states : We first thought these features had already been announced but not noticed. So we verified the Google search engine's cached page of which confirmed us that the new features were not already mentioned. The improved slideshow feature will probably come through a firmware update and will certainly be available to current iPod photo users. As for the new accessory, Apple does not precise if it will be an option or not for new iPod photo buyers and how much it will cost. UPDATE: The Camera-to-iPod connector has been officially announced by Apple as an option for the iPod photo. Bookmark/Search this post with:
