The Mac Observer reports that according to Gartner, Apple's worldwide market share fell to 1.8% this year from 2.1% last year. Despite more aggressive pricing in the US and a range of US-eclusive offers, Apple's market share in the USA has also significaly dropped from 3.6% to 3.2% while European market share drops as well from 2% to 1.5%. It looks like the iPod effect hasn?t yet helped Apple to increase its market share in computers. Let?s hope the new iBook and the iMac will do better, at least for the holiday season.
